Using MIDI causes ProPresenter to crash

If ProPresenter 6 crashes while you are using MIDI, verify that you are running the latest version of ProPresenter 6. We had to work around a bug in OS X that causes MIDI to crash in the background, which would also crash ProPresenter. If you are running an older version of ProPresenter this may be the issue.

If ProPresenter continues to crash, you may need to rest Audio MIDI settings. Follow the steps below to reset the Audio MIDI application.

1. Quit all applications that are using MIDI before continuing. Open Finder and press Command + Shift + G. Enter ~/Library/Preferences and click on Go. Locate and delete that file.

2. Repeat the above step and go to ~/Library/Audio and delete the "MIDI COnfigurations" and "MIDI Drivers" folders.

3. Restart your computer.

After you restart, open Audio MIDI and rebuild your session information and reconnect it to ProPresenter and test your MIDI signals again. This will hopefully resolve any crashes you've been experiencing while using MIDI.
