This issue is specific to Mac, and even more specific to OS X 10.11, El Capitan, and the full-screen Mode. With El Capitan, Apple has enabled full-screen mode as the default behavior for the green button in the top left corner of programs. In previous versions of OS X, this button acted as a maximize button, which is different.

You can tell the difference between the two modes by seeing what the green icon looks like. If you see the two arrows, then the program will use full-screen Mode, which breaks the interface.

If you click the button, it will cause ProPresenter to work incorrectly in the upper right corner of the program. The "Pro" icon will overlap the toolbar, and the controls on the right in the Editor will not select the correct items. You will need to restart ProPresenter to fix this.

In order to maximize the ProPresenter application window without this being an issue, you will need to press the Option key on your keyboard when you click on the green button. This will change the icon from arrows to a plus mark. This will maximize the window to fit your screen without hiding the toolbar or using full-screen mode.

You can use a free program called BetterTouchTool to semi-permanently change the behavior of this button, but it will affect all applications, not just ProPresenter. For a guide on using BetterTouchTool, click here.
