If you are running ProPresenter with a widescreen resolution you may have noticed that some of your PowerPoint files display with black bars on the left and right side of the presentation. This is caused by the page setup in PowerPoint being set to 4:3 rather than 16:9.
Mac settings:
- Open your PowerPoint presentation.
- Click on the File menu.
- Select Page Setup
- Change the Slides sized for option to On-screen Show (16:9).
- Click OK and then save your presentation.
Windows settings:
- Open your PowerPoint presentation.
- Click on the Design tab.
- Click the Page Setup button on the left of the toolbar.
- Change the Slides sized for option to On-screen Show (16:9).
- Click OK and then save your presentation.
- If you have already imported the presentation into ProPresenter, right-click on the presentation name and select Refresh PowerPoint presentation. This only works on native presentations. If you converted a presentation, delete the original and reimport the file.
In addition to this, you will want to make sure that the Slide Show Resolution is set correctly as well.
- Click on the Slide Show tab.
- Set Resolution to User Current Resolution. This will ensure PowerPoint uses the proper scaling with native PowerPoint presentations.
