Compatibility with High Sierra
Posted by Renewed Vision on September 25, 2017 at 08:45 AM

We are looking into compatibility between our software and High Sierra, however we have not completed this testing and therefore are not recommending updating any mission critical machines until testing is completed. Furthermore, there are many third party devices such as Blackmagic, Matrox, and USB adapters whose drivers will not be immediately supported or updated.

See each section below for updates on our specific products.

ProPresenter 6: Our initial testing shows that ProPresenter 6 does not have any major issues when being run under High Sierra, however there are some minor issues that we are looking into. For the time being we recommend not upgrading to High Sierra until we can update the software to fully support the operating system.

ProPresenter 5: ProPresenter 5 will not be updated to support High Sierra; the latest operating system that ProPresenter 5 is supported on is 10.10.5 (Yosemite). See this article for the minimum requirements for previous versions of ProPresenter.

PVP 3: When PVP 3 is released it will be fully supported on High Sierra.

PVP 2 and prior: Neither PVP 1 nor PVP 2 will be certified for High Sierra.

We will update this page as new information is available.

Windows 10 Creator Update
Posted by Renewed Vision on July 21, 2017 at 08:35 AM

As more and more users are updating to the Windows 10 Creator Update, we wanted to share some information on troubleshooting any issues you may see...

If you are having issues in ProPresenter 6, our first troubleshooting step would be to manually download and install the latest video card drivers for your device. You can find more information here.  Many users are reporting an issue where Pro6 will report an error with OpenCL and not be able to open.  We would recommend you go to your video card manufacturer's website and install the latest drivers from there directly. We have seen where Device Manager will show that you are up to date, even though you are not actually up to date.  Once the updated video card drivers are installed, Pro6 should open as expected.

If you are still having issues with Pro6, please e-mail our Support team.

We have found that ProPresenter 5 has a known issue where it will not install correctly under the Windows 10 Creator Update (Version 1703 and later). Current installs of ProPresenter 5 are not showing any issues, however new installs (or re-installs) will not process correctly which keeps the program from installing.

At this time we are marking ProPresenter 5 as supported through the previous version of Windows 10 (Anniversary Update, 10.0.1607, build 14393), and it won't be supported in the current or future versions of Windows.

Mac OS 10.12.4 Sierra and DisplayLink Issues
Posted by Renewed Vision on April 12, 2017 at 09:06 AM

Unfortunately, it has come to our attention that the drivers from DisplayLink which control the USB adapter availbale through our Store, as well as, most USB Display adapters on the market, are currently causing incompatibility with Mac OS 10.12.4

They've listed this information on their website here, http://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/949426 and the main issue we're seeing is related to this in their list, "Since 10.12.4, some systems show corrupted window contents in some applications (Word, Keynote, Parallels, LVC for example). (31495935)"

We have had a few issues reported such as slow downs in the program itself, as well as, outputs not working as expected through the USB adapter.  From what we've seen so far, this has mostly affected those using the Live Slide causing a static look on the Stage Display, but other issues have been reported as well.

At this time, the only recommendations/work-arounds we have is to either not update to OS 10.12.4 until this is rectified or you will need to find a separate output on the computer to send your Stage Display output through.  We apologize for the inconvenience, but unfortunately, this issue is out of our hands.
