Known Issues with Windows 10 Creator Update (Version 1703)

We've currently found a few issues with ProPresenter 5 and 6 in the new Windows 10 Creator Update.  We would recommend NOT installing this update at this time until these issues are resolved.  


For ProPresenter5 specifically, the issue is the program will not install.  At this time, we have seen no issues wtih existing installations, but the program will not install as a new application on the OS.  


For ProPresenter6, the program itself will not open.  We are seeing multiple KernelBase errors from the OS and our team is looking into what is triggering those at this time.  We do not know if this will require a ProPresenter update at this point.  


Please keep watch here and through our other channels and we will release more information as it becomes available.

Mac OS 10.12.4 Sierra and DisplayLink Issues

Unfortunately, it has come to our attention that the drivers from DisplayLink which control the USB adapter availbale through our Store, as well as, most USB Display adapters on the market, are currently causing incompatibility with Mac OS 10.12.4

They've listed this information on their website here, and the main issue we're seeing is related to this in their list, "Since 10.12.4, some systems show corrupted window contents in some applications (Word, Keynote, Parallels, LVC for example). (31495935)"

We have had a few issues reported such as slow downs in the program itself, as well as, outputs not working as expected through the USB adapter.  From what we've seen so far, this has mostly affected those using the Live Slide causing a static look on the Stage Display, but other issues have been reported as well.  

At this time, the only recommendations/work-arounds we have is to either not update to OS 10.12.4 until this is rectified or you will need to find a separate output on the computer to send your Stage Display output through.  We apologize for the inconvenience, but unfortunately, this issue is out of our hands.

Windows 10 Anniversary Update Causing Video Card Issues

There is an issue in the Windows 10 Anniversary update that is causing some Windows users issues in opening Pro6.  The issue at hand is in a change in the OS that affects your video card drivers.  If you install this update, please also check for updates on your video card if you run into any issues with ProPresenter6.  Our team is looking into this issue further.

macOS Sierra and iOS 10 (updated)

ProPresenter 6.1.1, released on September 26, includes a number of fixes specifically related to macOS Sierra. We think we've found everything that was related to changes in Sierra and that ProPresenter is now compatible. Third-party drivers for Blackmagic and Matrox have not been officially updated for Sierra yet. As with every new operating system release, we still recommend waiting until Apple releases the first software update for Sierra and testing on a non-critical computer first.

Our iOS applications should work fine in iOS 10.

ProPresenter 5 is only supported through OS X 10.10. We have created a discussion thread for anyone who wants to try it out, however we will not be updating ProPresenter 5 to support macOS Sierra.

We are currently working on certifying our other software (PVP and PVS) on Sierra. As always it is far safer to wait to update at the very least several weeks if at all possible.

It's also important to remember that many third-party device drivers may be slow in updating. If you are using a Matrox DualHead or TripleHead, it may not work at all. The same goes for the USB display adapter used for stage display.

ProPresenter 5 and OS X El Capitan (10.11) compatibility issues

We are aware of issues with ProPresenter 5 and OS X 10.11.5 and 10.11.6, the latest update to El Capitan. ProPresenter 5 is only supported through OS X 10.10, Yosemite. The latest update to El Capitan appears to cause some kind of an issue with one or more user data files in ProPresenter 5.
