What are the minimum system requirements for ProScoreboard?

The latest version of ProScoreboard will run on any Mac that meets the specifications required to run the operating systems we support.

 

ProScoreboard is a macOS-only application.

  • Minimum: macOS 14 (Sonoma)
  • Recommended: macOS 26 (Tahoe)

 

 

Performance Factors

The primary factors that affect ProScoreboard performance are the resolution of your output display, the complexity of your scoreboard layout, and whether your design includes video playback within scoreboard graphics.

 

ProScoreboard natively supports a single output display. If you need to drive multiple screens or ribbon boards simultaneously, this can be accomplished using ProVideoPlayer alongside ProScoreboard. See our tutorial: ProScoreboard – Multi Screen Output

Recommended System Specifications

OS macOS 15 (Sequoia) or higher
Processor Apple Silicon (M1 or later) — M4 Mac Mini or MacBook Pro are excellent choices
RAM 8 GB or more
Graphics Apple Silicon integrated GPU

Apple Silicon Macs are strongly preferred over Intel for performance and reliability, particularly for layouts that include video playback or high-resolution graphics output. Intel Macs meeting the minimum specifications are still supported.

 

 

NOTE: ProScoreboard requires a working internet connection to install, register, verify your subscription, and receive updates. An internet connection is not required to run the software during a live event.
