Using ProPresenter to get Text into ProVideoPlayer

There's a really great way to get a text output from ProPresenter, including all text formatting options you've selected within ProPresenter 6 into PVP 3.

You can achieve this by using an NDI output from Propresenter 6, and if you want to have that text laid over the content you're triggering in PVP 3, you can use the Alpha Module to actually create a keyed version of the NDI signal that PVP 3 will key and allow you to overlay the content from ProPresenter.

First off, you'll need to make sure that both your PVP 3 machine and ProPresenter 6 machine are on the same network. NDI is an output option that will transport the video over your pre-existing network, but both machines must be on the same network in order for the signal to be sent properly.

Once you've confirmed that, you'll want to have purchased either the standard SDI/NDI Module for ProPresenter or the Alpha Module if you want to overlay your lyrics in PVP 3. You'll want to make sure either module is enabled, and that you've set your output in ProPresenter to "NDI 1" and chosen the proper output resolution for your system. That's it for what to do in ProPresenter!

In PVP 3, you'll want to open whichever project you're working in, go to the Live Video Playlist, and add a new input using the plus at the bottom left of the playlist area. At this point, you'll choose the ProPresenter 6 NDI stream that you'll see in that list, and select it to be added to the playlist. You can now trigger that to one of your layers, and when you start triggering slides in ProPresenter you will see the text coming over in real time to your PVP 3 program. Just make sure that the Layer that the NDI is triggered on is on top of the other layers, otherwise, the other PVP 3 layers will cover it and you won't see it on your output of PVP 3.
