ProPresenter is able to receive and display content streamed from Apple devices over a local network. This feature is accessible as a video or audio input in ProPresenter, allowing seamless integration with Apple device displays. This AirCast function is to be used as a video input only.
Utilizing AirCast Inputs in ProPresenter:
Once the AirCast Receiver is configured and the input is created, it operates as any other video or audio input within ProPresenter. The AirCast Receiver in ProPresenter is ideal for a variety of real-time applications. Presenters can use an iPad to draw or annotate directly on their ProPresenter screens, providing a dynamic, interactive experience. Additionally, this feature makes it easy to stream a live FaceTime call from a missionary or guest speaker on the mission field, allowing audiences to engage directly with remote individuals.
Adding the AirCast Receiver
-
- To enable the AirCast Receiver, navigate to the Inputs page in ProPresenter Settings.
- Select Add AirCast Receiver to begin the setup process. At this point, a prompt will appear to install the necessary plug-in. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the plug-in installation. This plug-in is only necessary to be installed the first time that the AirCast Receiver is used.
Naming and Customizing the AirCast Input
-

- A password can also be set for the AirCast connection by enabling the AirCast Password option and entering the desired access code. This adds a layer of security to the AirCast session.
Audio Source Selection
-
- Select the preferred audio source for the AirCast connection. Options include using the embedded audio within the AirCast input or selecting an alternate audio source available on the network.
