Setting Up Your ProPresenter Lyric Banner

The ProPresenter Lyric Banner is designed for seamless installation above a stage or on a wall. This guide walks you through the step-by-step process to safely and efficiently set up your lyric banner. For information on configuring ProPresenter to use the ProPresenter Lyric Banner CLICK HERE

For hardware support: Please call Formetco directly at (800) 204-4386.

Before You Begin

The installation requires two people and approximately two hours to complete. The Lyric Banner is shipped in three separate boxes:

  • Box 1 & 2: Contain the two sections of the Lyric Banner.

  • Box 3: Contains mounting hardware, tools, and connection components.

Ensure you have a flat surface available to assemble the banner. Take all necessary safety precautions when installing above a stage or on a wall.

Unboxing & Preparing the Lyric Banner

  1. Unpack the Components

    • Lay out the two banner sections on a flat surface without placing them face-down.

    • Each section weighs approximately 80 pounds, requiring two people to handle safely.

    • Identify the right and left sections before assembly.

  2. Review the Parts Box (Box 3)

    • Shackles (for stage mounting)

    • Handles (attach to each side for maneuverability)

    • Wall Mounting Brackets (for wall installations)

    • LED Processor (processes HDMI input and sends data to the banner)

    • Power & Data Cables

    • Support PC (for remote troubleshooting via Formetco support)

Assembling the Lyric Banner

  1. Remove the Back Panels

    • Locate the two inner back panels and remove them to access mounting brackets and cabling.

  2. Align and Connect the Two Sections

    • Use the provided alignment pins to connect the two sections.

    • Tighten pins to a finger-tight level to allow final adjustments.

    • Ensure both vertical and horizontal alignment for a seamless display.

    • Once aligned, fully tighten the pins.

  3. Connect Power & Data

    • Locate the blue port (power) and black port (data) on the back of the banner.

    • Run the Cat 6 Ethernet cable through the designated opening to connect the two sections.

    • Secure the power cable and twist to lock it in place.

    • Reattach the back panels once connections are complete.

Mounting the Lyric Banner

The Lyric Banner can be mounted above a stage or on a wall.

  • For Stage Hanging:

    • Attach the provided shackles to the top of the banner using two bolts.

    • Secure strengthening plates to ensure stability.

  • For Wall Mounting:

    • Use the included wall mounting brackets and secure them with the provided bolts.

    • Install the safety screw at the bottom to prevent accidental detachment.

Testing the Lyric Banner

Before finalizing the installation, verify that the Lyric Banner is functioning correctly.

  1. Connect to the LED Processor

    • Use the provided power cable and Cat 6 Ethernet cable to link the LED processor to the Lyric Banner.

  2. Run a Test Pattern

    • Turn on the processor and access Display Control > Test Patterns.

    • Select patterns such as all red, all green, all blue, or all white to ensure the display is working properly.

    • If all colors display correctly, the banner is ready for final installation.

Final Steps

With successful testing, the Lyric Banner is ready to be hung and connected to ProPresenter. The next step is configuring ProPresenter to communicate with the banner, which will be covered in a separate guide.

For any installation issues, Formetco support is available via phone or by scanning the QR codes on the packaging or the Lyric Banner itself.
