If you are having trouble logging into SongSelect or downloading songs, there are a few things to check.
The first is to make sure you are using the right username and password. Keep in mind that the username may be an email address.
The next thing to check is that your clock on the computer itself is set to the correct time. (For security purposes, when you try to log in or do a search on SongSelect, it compares the time on your computer to the time on the server; if these times do not match then it will not let you log in/search.) We recommend that you make sure that your computer is set to automatically keep your computer's time correct. If the setting is already enabled, you might need to temporarily toggle it so that it refreshes the time.
If using Mac:
- If you are logged into SongSelect, log out of SongSelect (This is done in the Integrations tab of the ProPresenter Settings)
- Quit ProPresenter
- In the top right of the screen, left click on the clock, then select Open Date and Time Preferences
- You may need to click on the lock in the lower left and enter the administrator password for the computer to make changes
- In the Time Zone tab, make sure that your Time Zone is correct
- In the Date & Time tab, uncheck Set Date and Time Automatically, wait 5 seconds, then click it again
- Close the Date and Time Preferences window
- Open ProPresenter and try logging into SongSelect
If using Windows:
- If you are logged into SongSelect, log out of SongSelect (This is done in the Integrations tab of the ProPresenter Settings)
- Quit ProPresenter
- In the bottom right of the screen, right click on the clock, then select Adjust Date/Time
- You may be asked to enter the administrator password for the computer
- Check to make sure your Time Zone is set correctly
- Turn Set Time Automatically off, wait 5 seconds, then turn it back on
- Close the preferences window
- Open ProPresenter and try logging into SongSelect
A less common issue we've seen is users trying to log in with a free or expired account. A free or expired SongSelect account can still log into the SongSelect website, but you can't download any of the content. SongSelect, also, limits your ability to download content inside of ProPresenter, if your account is not active and paid. Your login information needs to be connected to a SongSelect account with an active subscription.
Note: Since the restructuring of SongSelect some accounts have been affected and in some rare occasion a new user account on their website had to be created for you to log in through ProPresenter.
