How do I show a DVD in ProPresenter 6?

This article deals with our legacy product, ProPresenter 6. For the ProPresenter 7 Knowledge Base, click HERE.

ProPresenter 6 has the ability to playback clips from DVDs*. To access the DVD player, click on the DVD button in the toolbar or select DVD from the View menu.

When you open the DVD player you will see an interface like the one shown below. The only difference is that you won't see the Rip button if you are using ProPresenter 4 and the design looks slightly different in the Windows version.

To save a clip for playback, start your DVD. Use the Set buttons to create your Start and End points. The Start and End points cannot be manually entered. Give the clip a name and click on Save to add it to the column on the right. Once the clip is here, you can drag the clip to a playlist or presentation. You will need to hold down the Command (Mac) or Control (PC) key to drag the clip.

If you just want to show a DVD clip directly from this window without actually dragging it into a playlist or presentation, click the Fullscreen button in the lower left corner next to the Eject button.

 * DVD playback is not available in ProPresenter 6 for Mac running OS X Mojave.
