What are the minimum system requirements for older versions of ProPresenter?

Below are the minimum requirements for legacy versions of ProPresenter. If you are looking for the minimum requirements for the latest ProPresenter7 releases please click here.

 

ProPresenter 7.0-7.9.2

  • macOS: macOS 10.14.6 (Mojave) through macOS 12.5.1 (Monterey)
  • Windows: Windows 10:Version 1903 (build 18362) or newer or Windows 11

ProPresenter6 for Mac

  • OS: macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) through macOS 10.15 (Catalina) [if you have Mac OS X 10.9 through 10.11, version 6.3.5 is compatible with these versions.  if you have Mac OS 10.12, version 6.4 is compatible with this OS.  Both of these versions can be downloaded from our version history section on the download page]
  • Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor or better
  • RAM: 4 GB RAM (8 GB recommended)
  • Graphics Card: While not required a dedicated graphics card with 1GB VRAM is recommended particularly if playing back a wide variety of HD video files
  • Stage Display: Additional output required for stage display function (third video out - PCI or USB). Only the Mac mini and MacBook Air lack a third video out port.

ProPresenter6 for Windows

  • OS: Windows 8 Pro with Windows Media Center (more info) or Windows 10 (may run on Windows 7, but not guaranteed or supported)
  • Processor: Intel i5 or equivalent AMD processor and above
  • RAM: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics Card: A dedicated/discrete graphics card that supports OpenGL 3.2 or higher is required (i.e. NVIDIA GeForce series or AMD Radeon series card with a minimum of 1GB of dedicated memory). AMD FirePro and NVIDIA Quadro cards are not recommended. Intel HD Graphics may work if they support OpenGL 3.2 (more info), but are NOT recommended or supported.
  • Stage Display: Additional output required for stage display function (third video out - PCI or USB)

 

ProPresenter5 for Mac

  • OS: OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) through OS X 10.10.5 (Yosemite)
  • Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor or better
  • RAM: 2 GB RAM (4 GB recommended)
  • Graphics Card: Dual display with screen spanning capability (a dedicated graphics card with 512MB VRAM is recommended)
  • Stage Display: Additional output required for stage display function (third video out - PCI or USB)

ProPresenter5 for Windows

  • OS: Windows 7, Windows 8 Pro with Windows Media Center (more info), or up to Windows 10, Version 1607 (build 14394)
  • Processor: 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo or above
  • RAM: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics Card: A dedicated/discrete graphics card is required. We recommend an NVIDIA GeForce series or ATI Radeon HD series card with a minimum of 1GB of dedicated memory. DirectX 9.0c or later is required. (Intel HD and AMD FirePro cards are not supported. NVIDIA Quadro cards are not recommended.)
  • Stage Display: Additional output required for stage display function (third video out - PCI or USB)

ProPresenter4 for Mac

  • OS: OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard) through OS X 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion)
  • Processor: Intel processor (PowerPC processors are not explicitly excluded in the software but we are unable to provide support for them)
  • RAM: 2 GB RAM
  • Graphics Card: Dual display with screen spanning capability (256MB minum, 512MB recommended)
  • Stage Display: Additional output required for Stage Display function (third video out - PCI or USB)

ProPresenter4 for Windows

  • OS: Windows XP (32bit ONLY), Vista, or Windows 7
  • Processor: 2.0 GHz Core Duo or above
  • RAM: 2 GB RAM
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6600 or nigher that supports dual display (minimum 512 MB VRAM & PCI Express or 8X AGP that supports DirectX Version 4.09.00.0904 (DirectX 9.0c) or higher).
  • Stage Display: Additional output required for Stage Display function (third video out - PCI or USB)

ProPresenter3 for Mac

  • OS: OS X 10.4 (Tiger) through OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard)
  • Processor: iMac (Intel or PowerPC G5), MacBook Pro, MacBook, MacPro, PowerMac G5
  • RAM: 1 GB RAM
  • Graphics Card: Dual video support - standard on PowerMac, PowerBook, and allIntel based Macs except for the Mac Mini; core Image-capable graphics card - Video card with programmable GPU (All Intel Macs)
