ProPresenter has always allowed you to use multiple Library folders and switch between them in the program, but this has become easier in the introduction of the latest ProPresenter. You can now add multiple libraries and easily switch between them right from the main program window!
The first question you may have is “Why would I want to have more than one Library?”. The main reason would be if you had groups of Presentations you want to keep separate from each other. For example, if you had multiple groups using the computer for different types of services or shows you may want to keep their Presentations in different Libraries. Another option would be to keep a certain type of presentation, such as songs, separate from other presentations like speaking notes and Scripture slides.
So, how do I do this?
You will first click on the + icon at the top of the Library and Playlist area and choose “New Library”. Once you’ve done this, a new library with the name “New Library 1” (or subsequent number) will appear in your library window and a corresponding folder will be created in the libraries folder of the ProPresenter folder on your computer.
You can then right-click on this library and rename it to whatever you desire (this will also rename the computer folder)
In the past, Playlists were associated with a particular Library. So, when you switched libraries, you only had access to that Library’s Playlists. ProPresenter now allows you to add a Presentation from any Library into any Playlist. The Playlist will note which Library this Presentation is from on the right side of the Playlist detail view.
