Retrieving Extra Logging Information on macOS

As of ProPresenter 17, users now have the ability to retrieve extra logging information. This is a profile that gives our Support and Development team more information about your device, such as personally identifiable identification, including the registration code and the like. This profile will enable logging that is too high of a volume to always be on. This article provides the steps to install this logging profile and capture a system diagnostics report when experiencing an issue in ProPresenter.

This is specifically for macOS Users, and not for Windows users, and should be done at direction from our support team.

Installing Logging Profile

  1. Download the profile from our website
  2. Go to Finder > Downloads and double click on the downloaded file
  3. Open the Mac System Settings by clicking on the Apple logo in the top left corner and select System Settings. 
  4. Search Profiles

  1. Double click on the ProPresenter Logging item
  2. A window will appear that says “Are you sure you want to install this profile?" Select Install in the bottom left of this window. 

  1. Users will be prompted with a window labeled Profile “ProPresenter Logging”. Select Install. 
  2. If prompted, enter the Mac user profile password to allow these changes and press OK.



Submitting a System Diagnostics File

  1. Open ProPresenter 7
  2. In the top menu, select Help > Report an Issue
  3. Confirm “System Diagnostics” is listed under Attachments 

  1. Fill out the necessary fields in the Submit Feedback form and press Send
