A Smart Playlist lets you reference a folder of media stored outside of ProPresenter's internal library. Rather than importing files into the Media Bin, a Smart Playlist links directly to a folder on your hard drive and displays its contents inside ProPresenter.

Creating a Smart Playlist

1. Click the plus (+) icon at the bottom left of the Media Bin.
2. Select New Smart Playlist.
3. Choose the folder on your hard drive you'd like to view in the Media Bin.

How Smart Playlists Stay Updated

A Smart Playlist automatically reflects whatever media is currently in the linked folder — you don't need to re-import anything as files are added or removed. This is especially useful for recurring content that changes from week to week. For example, if you receive a new set of announcement images each week, you can save them to a designated folder, link that folder as a Smart Playlist, and it will always show the current week's images without any manual import.
