How to Clear To A Logo

Overview

In ProPresenter Versions 21.4 and older, there was an option to add a Logo in General Settings. The Clear to Logo button sat just below the preview window (see image below). This button and the ability to add a Logo have been removed starting with Version 22 of ProPresenter.

However, you can get the same result by using a Prop and a Macro that clears all layers and then shows that prop with your logo. The macro can also be added to a slide so your logo appears automatically when that slide is selected.

The Clear to Logo button below the preview window

Step 1: Create a Logo prop

  1. In the bottom-right panel, click the Props tab (the stacked-layers icon).
  2. Click the + button at the top right of the panel to create a new prop.
  3. In the prop editor, add your logo image, place it where you want it on screen, and name the prop (for example, Logo).

To change the logo later, right-click the prop and choose Edit.... This will open the Prop Editor.

Right-click a prop and choose Edit...

Step 2: Create a Clear to Logo Macro

  1. In the same bottom-right panel, click the Macros tab (the [M] icon).
  2. Click + to create a new macro and name it, for example Clear to Logo.
  3. Right-click the macro and choose Add Action > Clear > Clear Group > Clear All.

Macros tab, then Add Action, Clear, Clear Group, Clear All

  1. Right-click the macro again and choose Add Action > Props, then pick the Logo prop you created in Step 1.

Add Action, then Props

When both actions are added, the macro shows a clear icon and a props icon.

Trigger the macro any time to clear the screen and show your logo. This works just as Clear to Logo did previously!

Step 3 (optional): Trigger the macro from a slide

To show your logo automatically on a slide in a presentation, drag the Clear to Logo macro from the Macros panel onto a slide in your presentation or playlist. When that slide is triggered, the macro runs: all layers clear and your logo prop appears. This works well on a blank slide at the end of a song or before a service begins.

And that's how you can create a macro to use in the same way as Clear to Logo used to work.
