Overview
Beginning in ProPresenter v22, you now have the ability to disable a screen so ProPresenter stops rendering it. This saves your computer's rendering resources. Before, every configured screen was rendered all the time, including placeholders.
This helps most when you work in a shared Cloud workspace from home. You can turn off screens that are only needed in the live production room, then turn them back on when you need them.
Disable a screen
- Open the Screen Configuration window.
- In the Audience or Stage list, right-click the name of the screen you want to turn off.
- Choose Disable.
The screen's name now appears greyed out in the list, and ProPresenter stops rendering it.
Note that disabled screens also do not render in the Preview area in the top right corner of the app.
Re-enable a screen
- In Screen Configuration, right-click the greyed-out screen name.
- Choose Enable.
The screen starts rendering again.
What happens when a screen is disabled
- Preview Screen: Disabled screens are not shown and are not listed in the Preview.
- Windowed Output: Disabled screens aren't offered as an available screen.
- Screen Preview datalinks: You can still pick the disabled screen, but the datalink shows nothing until the screen is enabled again. If a Screen Preview datalink is blank, check whether its screen is disabled in Screen Configuration.
