Using ProPresenter Control

ProPresenter Control is a powerful website that can be connected to any instance of ProPresenter (7.9.1 or later) that is on the same local network as the device accessing the site.

Once ProPresenter Control has connected to your ProPresenter Application, it will pull up the page below. We will now walk through all of the options on this page. For the purposes of this article, each section is numbered.

Please note that as of the 7.9.1 release, this page is not customizable so you can not remove or resize any of these options.

1. Looks- Use this section of the page to change the audience look preset that is currently applied in your ProPresenter Application. You will do this by opening the dropdown menu and choosing the desired audience look preset. 

2. Macros- Use this section of the page to fire a Macro in your ProPresenter Application. You will do this by simply clicking on the desired Macro. It will briefly flash orange to indicate selection.

3. Audio Transport Control- Use this section of the page to use any of the transport controls available on an audio file that is already triggered. You can play, pause, scrub, jump 15 seconds back or forward or skip to the first or last 15 seconds (or whatever time frame you have selected in the application). 

4. Audio Playlists- Use this section of the page to browse and trigger audio from any of the audio playlists in your Audio Bin. 

5. System Time- Use this section to view the Current Time and Date that your connected system shows.

6. Capture and Streaming- Use this section to start and stop whichever capture option is configured in your capture settings inside of ProPresenter. You can also view the elapsed time and status of your capture in this section.

7. Screen Control- Use this section of the page to toggle on and off your graphics outputs that are assigned to be audience or stage screens. Note: As is true of the toggle buttons in the program, these do not affect SDI, Syphon, or NDI outputs.

8. Library Playlist- Use this section to view library playlists and their contents. On launch, this window will show the currently selected playlist, but you can change which playlist is being viewed by clicking the dropdown menu and selecting your desired playlist. The rest of this section is VIEW ONLY. You cannot select items in the library playlist from here, only view the contents of the selected playlist and view which item is active.

9. Timers- Use this section to view, configure and control any created timers in your ProPresenter Application. You can start, stop, and reset your timers with the controls on the left or click the arrow to expand the details of an individual timer on the left and change the length of the timer and allow or disallow overrun.

10. Messages- Use this section to view and control any created messages in your connected ProPresenter Application. You can use the dropdown menu at the top to select your desired message then enter information into any available tokens and use the "Show" button to show that desired message.

11. Announcement Layer Transport Control- Use this section of the page to use any of the transport controls available on a media file triggered on the announcement layer. You can play, pause, scrub, jump 15 seconds back or forward or skip to the first or last 15 seconds (or whatever time frame you have selected in the application).

12. Presentation Layer Transport Control- Use this section of the page to use any of the transport controls available on a media file triggered on the presentation layer. You can play, pause, scrub, jump 15 seconds back or forward or skip to the first or last 15 seconds (or whatever time frame you have selected in the application). 

13. Stage Screen Controls- Use this section of the page to view or change the currently active layout on any of your stage screens. You can do this by clicking the dropdown menu next to each configured screen to select the desired layout.

14. Stage Message- Use this section of the page to type in a message that can be shown on any stage screen that has a layout with a text box linked to the stage message. 

15. Props- Use this section of the page to view and trigger your props. Any active props will be outlined in orange. You can trigger and clear individual props by clicking on them in this portion of the page.

16. Connected Instance of ProPresenter- In this portion of the page you can view the name of the instance of ProPresenter you are connected to. You can also click the gear icon to disconnect ProPresenter Control.
